About Us: Bluewater Restoration is a professional restoration and general contracting corporation in northeast North Carolina for more than 30 years. We provide emergency mitigation services, restoration, and reconstruction services for residential and commercial property due to water, fire, mold, and other property loss disasters.
Position Summary: As an experienced restoration project manager, you will lead the reconstruction projects for our valued customers who have suffered an unexpected property loss and need to have their homes and businesses restored and returned to them.  You will create project estimates, budgets, and timelines for all rebuilds. You will supervise all labor and material necessities, as well be a key link between the customer-office-and labor force. You will supervise all trade partners to ensure their work product is completed on time, efficiently, and in accordance with existing building codes.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate multiple construction projects, including transitioning mitigation projects to reconstruction.
  • Identify suitable trade partners, review bids, inspect work, and ensure accurate billing.
  • Clear, concise, and timely communication with all stakeholders.
  • Discuss scope of work with adjusters and defend our services for insurance claims.
  • Handle multiple restoration projects simultaneously while maintaining situational awareness.
  • Focus on time management to keep priorities aligned with all stakeholders.
  • Control and manage jobs based on restoration industry standards, OSHA safety standards, and within the NC Building Code.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Clean background check and driving record
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in the restoration industry, rebuilding residential and commercial properties.
  • Proficiency in project estimation, construction budgets, and tracking job profitability.
  • Typing skills
  • Operational knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, One Drive, Share Point, Teams, and more)
  • Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems and platforms
  • Create proposals, spreadsheets, change orders, and invoices if necessary
  • Exceptional communication skills for interacting with contractors, homeowners, insurance professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Professional skill level of property damage assessment, labor management, and equipment evaluation.
  • Ability to select and manage appropriate trade partners.
  • Competence in construction management to inspect, assess, and ensure sub-contractors complete services accurately and bill appropriately.
